The Real Estate Institute of Queensland recommends the Exclusive Agency method of selling residential property as the most efficient way to achieve the desired outcome in the shortest possible time.

Listing exclusively with one Agent who has extensive local property market knowledge, who is up to date with all relevant laws and regulations, who has proven advertising, marketing, promotional and negotiating expertise, an excellent history of sales in the area and a good reputation ensures a smooth working relationship between the Vendor and the Agent.

An Exclusive Agency arrangement can be agreed for up to a maximum of 60 days and can be renewed again at the end of the period if so desired.

The Sellers advertising and marketing costs will be minimised or even eliminated as a reputable Agent will cover most or all of these expenses under an Exclusive Agency listing agreement.

Any selling agreement where a licensed real estate agent is appointed, a form PAMD 22a must be signed by both the Seller and the Agent formalising the Sellers appointment of the Agent and this document legally sets out the terms of the selling arrangement.
